This international meeting is the most important in the field of limb development, and regeneration and provides a biennial forum for leading researchers from around the world to present their experimental advances, discuss hypotheses and models, exchange information and establish collaborations. The development of the vertebrate limb is a classic model system in embryology, and its study has made important contributions to our understanding of fundamental biological processes, above all the cellular interactions underlying the formation of organs.
The following topics will be covered: Limb initiation; Pattern formation in proximo-distal, antero-posterior and dorso-ventral axes; Signalling and differentiation; Genetics, animal models and human conditions; Evolution and development (Evo-Devo); Regeneration.
