The 4th European Meeting in Oxizymes will be held in Helsinki. The meeting is a 2.5 day meeting starting on Monday June 16, 2008 and it is co-organized by VTT and the University of Helsinki.
The roots of the Oxizymes meeting go back to Cassis, France, where the first meeting focusing on laccase research from fundamental and applied aspects was held in January 2002. The next Oxizymes meeting was organized in Naples in June 2004 followed by Oxizymes in Oeiras in 2006. The Oxizymes meetings have become regular, held in every second year and the scope has been extended to oxidative enzymes in general.
The last Oxizymes meetings have been a great success not only from the scientific point of view, but also in terms of strengthening and generating networks and collaboration between academic and industrial groups. In Oeiras meeting more than 150 participants attended. The idea of Oxizymes is to bring together colleagues and friends working on the field of oxidative enzymes to share knowledge and generate collaboration.
You are most welcome to Helsinki in June 16, 2008.
