This morning I have been speaking to Alan MacKelworth, who has been in networking for decades, literally. He has made a career out of networking and teaching major companies (e.g. BT and Oracle) how to use networking to make their businesses (and themselves) more effective.

As you might expect, he has a huge network and is very well respected. He also attends a lot of face-to-face events and will be at the WHO IT show in Vienna http://www.worldofhealthit.org/index.aspx which sounds like it could be worth a visit if anyone is able to go.
