Today I managed for four boring hours to take measurements on some specific device of one of our customers.
Hopefully we can at one point in time develop some kind of semi or full-automated test stand for them - so that never ever again someone must fulfill the same dull task :)
A new coworker joined the IPA today.
Tobias did his diploma thesis at IPA and really impressed us by his need-things-done attitude. E.g. he single-handed developed the "Tobi-printer" now called "iDot" (read Tobi - mirrored! :)) which is presented at this years Biotechnica.
Update about broken PC:
PC rescued, Hard disked still broken with all hope abandoned. I only wished it were the other way around.
my computer is broken - as of yesterday.
no blink, no beep, no bios, nothing. just broken.
only the fans are turning their lonely wheels ... But the real highlight is -> the harddisk seems to be gone too. How I hate it.
So I will be a little late during the following days, answering emails, or doing whatever stuff.
Had a quick look at the zeptosens technology. They promote kind of TIRF-Chips and accompanying reader.
quiet interesting - especially as this is excactly what we need in a current project for a new kind of (realtime) pcr . Has anyone experience with zeptosens. Any feedback would by valuable.
Some collegeau left IPA several months ago. Now I kind of herited

Started exploring the new Spidera Plattform. Looks well done and much more polished than Ecademy.
