Still not seeing many people signing up to the LinkedIn group.
With roughly 30 million people using LinkedIn, there must be a huge number of Lifesciences professionals and people you are connected with using this platform.
Please check your linkedIn connections and see if you can invite a few more people to LinkedIn - from there you can invite them to Spidera, or message them at LinkedIn......... or BOTH!!
The details for both Facebook and LinkedIn are in this blog........
You can join these groups and invite friends/colleagues to join at:
This morning I have been speaking to Alan MacKelworth, who has been in networking for decades, literally. He has made a career out of networking and teaching major companies (e.g. BT and Oracle) how to use networking to make their businesses (and themselves) more effective.
Can everyone please ensure that their name is full and correct - "Rory Murray", not "rorymurray" or "Murray" or whatever else.......
This is important for people who don't know you, but want to connect with you - if you have a nickname or an incomplete name at the moment, they won't know what to call you may feel uncomfortable writing to you and won't bother - this is an important element in trust and connectivity.........
Now that we seem to have most of the Consortium members on the Platform, we need to take input on how to improve before we go live. This needs to be done in a controlled way but also as quickly as possible, to ensure that all suggestions and input are captured and prioritised.
The Ecademy Team believe that we have now met the original specification and in some areas exceeded the requested functionality, but we would welcome your ideas on how to improve the Platform further.........
Dear all,
At the end of September Ecademy is required to provide the deliverable on networking.
The allocation of work is as shown below:

1.) Subscribe to any groups you want to belong to by clicking the "Subscribe" link on the left in each group. "Platform Management" is for the Management team and is a private group to discuss detailed issues.
2.) Complete your profile as fully as possible
3.) Connect with all other members
4.) Add some value in terms of fresh content
5.) Make suggestions for improvements after you have taken the time to navigate round the platform.
Thanks and have fun!

When you create your profile, it is CRITICAL that the content is in the form that you would like Google and other search engines to find:
YOUR NAME must be in the form you want to be found by - i.e. Rory Murray, not "rory.murray" or "R Murray"
Your profile must clearly describe who you are and what you do - using any key words that are critical to your job, your company or your research areas.
This blog describes the process of enhancing your Reputation in the Marketplace by building a strong and effective network of contacts around you.
