Deliverable D4.1.......... Networking. Deadline end of September!

Dear all,

At the end of September Ecademy is required to provide the deliverable on networking.

The allocation of work is as shown below:

Work_allocation_1.jpg

For this activity to be a success, it is ESSENTIAL that every member of the Consortium works proactively to build their networks through LinkedIn and Ecademy, so that we each have a strong network of suitable people to invite onto the Platform when we are ready.  We all need to be members of both platforms and connected with every other member of the Consortium at the very least...... and everyone should be able to achieve a first degree network on Linkedin numbering in the hundreds quite easily.

This activity isn't just good for the project, it's good for your reputation in your marketplace(s) and is a worthwhile investment in your future value.

Please refer to the ROR-Return on Relationships Blog for more information on how to Develop Social Networking Expertise and much more........

The bottom line is simple - this project can only succeed if we recruit enough people onto the platform to create a vibrant environment that people WANT to use.  And this won't happen if we don't put the effort in to make it happen - the bad news is that there isn't much time left to achieve what should have been happening from the start!  I'm expecting great things from Atos, bearing in mind how much time they have allocated to this activity! ;-)

Please let me know if you need further assistance.

Regards

Rory

D4.1 List of actions and events

In DoW the deliverable is listed as "List of actions and events".

It's not clear to me how we should shape this deliverable content: from DoW it sounds like listing actions and events that were set,....

Regards,

              Dunja

It's pretty clear from these slides that Dunja's team have a fair bit of work to do here, at least in theory........

The fact of the matter is that unless we can populate the Platform with a good number of people and get some reasonable activity going, there won't anything for Dunja's team to do.  There won't be any text to mine and there won't be any trends to spot.

Basically, the activities listed above aren't networking, they are mainly analysis.  In fact, nowhere in the above list is there any real mention of anything directly related to online Social Networking, which is what the entire project is supposed to be all about.........

So I think we've encountered a bit of a problem here and need to take some Corrective Action quickly.  We all need to get active, get the platform signed off, formally launch it and then get out there and recruit some users to make this place look like it means business..........

I'd appreciate any inputs others may have, but right now I'm more than a little bit worried!

Regards
