• 1987-present, associated with J. Stefan Institute, Ljubljana, Slovenia (1987-1992 as an undergraduate student, 1992-1998 employed at J.Stefan Institute as a graduate student and young researcher, 1998-present, employed at J. Stefan Institute, as a researcher and project manager.
• 2000-2001, School of Computer Science, Carnegie Mellon University, USA, 18 months as a visiting faculty, research on data mining, with particular emphases on Web and text mining including information extraction and user profiling (hosted by Tom M. Mitchell).
• 1996-1997, Carnegie Mellon University, USA, 12 months as a visiting researcher, research on machine learning in data analysis, with particular interest in learning from text applied on World Wide Web documents and intelligent agents (hosted by Tom M. Mitchell).
• 1993, Brunel-The University of West London, UK, 1 month visit, research on application of machine learning on discrete event simulation analysis (hosted by Ray J. Paul).
